Not only did I pass gen chem, but I got a B+.
How? I have NO idea. I opened the text book like 3 times, never did the homework, and generally did not understand what was going on during the lecture. What jokes.

As of 3:30 today, semester one of year two is complete :)
I love my program and all but we have to learn about, and see pictures of, some pretty gross things. I honestly think I would lose it if I had to read more about bloody/mucoid diarrhea, hemorrhaging organs or look at more pictures of deformed babies.

Antibiotics treat bacterial infections. If your doctor is prescribing you antibiotics for a cold or the flu (viral infections) you really need to ask him/or her why they are doing so. Antibiotics in this situation might do more harm than good. It won’t make you feel and better and this type of misuse can lead to bacterial resistance towards antibiotics.

My mom, despite having just had gum surgery on Monday, has made me dinner early so i can take it to work for the past two days, woke up early and cleaned of the car so i wouldn’t be time crunched heading into my exam and washed my sheets and made my bed so i wouldn’t have to do it once i got home from work.
She is the best. I don’t know what I would do with out her.
Today, getting ready for the day meant washing my face and changing into a different pair of Christmas themed flannel pajamas. I live such a thrilling life. NAAAAT.

Exam #1
I had my first exam this morning. It was for my gen chem class, so I was really worried going into it. We all get our exams and eveything is going fine until about five minutes, in when out of nowwhere

Coincidence? I think not. Some d-bag probably pulled the alarm (was this person desperate enough to think that this was a good idea ??? ) We then had to evacuate the building....
